'Avengers: Endgame' Spoilers: Latest Trailer May Show 2 Shocking Locations
Is the latest trailer hinting at a return to two forgotten alien planets?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in the endgame now. And as the Avengers gear up to make one final stand against Thanos, fans think the heroes will return to a few, very important places as seen over the last 20-plus movies — and the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer may have revealed two of them. The Avengers are gearing up to take the fight to Thanos, but do we already know where that final battle will take place?
As Tony Stark told Loki way back in 2012’s The Avengers: “If we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure that we’ll avenge it.” Little did we know then how prophetic Stark’s words would be all these years later.
Here’s a quick, dirty rundown of a few important places you might need to remember ahead of Avengers: Endgame.

Morag
In 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, fans met Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) for the first time on Morag. Once a bustling metropolis, the planet is now desolate, and it’s where a breakdancing junker jams to Redbone as he unwittingly steals one of the most powerful relics in the entire universe.
Morag is the place where the “Orb” — later known as the Power Stone, which Thanos used to wipe out half the universe — was housed for thousands of years. And fans on Reddit think Morag appears in the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame, which was released at the same time tickets finally went on sale. In the trailer, the Guardians ship, the Benatar, is flying from the planet.
Keep in mind that it is indeed the Benatar, Quill’s second ship after the destruction of the Milano in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. So it is unlikely there is any time traveling going on in this particular theory.
This theory was proposed by Reddit user Alioramus7, and has since become one of the most-discussed threads in r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers with over 700 comments and counting.

Xandar
Another important planet from the Guardians corner of the MCU, Xandar is the central capital planet of the Nova Empire located in the Andromeda galaxy. The planet is where the Power Stone was kept in the stewardship of the Nova Corps at the end of the first Guardians movie, and was later revealed to be “decimated” by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
That’s why Thanos already had the Power Stone at the start of the movie; Grimace and his posse annihilated the place before the film even started.
In the same thread speculating on Morag, the same Reddit users also suggests the film will show the destruction of Xandar. One user, u/OPs_Mom_and_Dad, thinks Xandar is where the Avengers fight Thanos in Endgame, as the debris all around them is too widespread to be the debris of Avengers HQ.

This theory has been kicked around for a long time, but it’s worth bringing up again: Because of time travel rumors and evidenced by paparazzi photos of the set, it is believed Avengers: Endgame will revisit the Battle of New York from 2012’s The Avengers. The finale to that movie is considered one of the most important events in MCU history, as it confirmed to the world that aliens exist while revealing Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers, to the general population.
Production of Endgame involved several of the actors wearing old costumes from The Avengers, whilst surrounded by debris of midtown. However, there is no visual evidence in the trailers that the heroes travel back in time.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
