‘Big Mouth’ Season 3 release time: Here's when it comes out on Netflix

'Big Mouth' is back, and it's better and bolder than ever before.

Netflix’s beloved mature animated series, Big Mouth returns this weekend for an excellent Season 3. Created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, the series follows a group of 7th graders as they navigate the hormone-fueled struggles of growing up. Things get even more complicated with the inclusion of hormone monsters, half-imaginary personifications of all the urges we begin to feel in puberty.

Big Mouth Season 3 will be released on Netflix October 4, 2019, but when exactly will fans be able to watch the new adventures of Jessi, Nick, Andrew, Jay, and, most importantly, Coach Steve and the ghost of Duke Ellington?

Netflix operates from the west coast in the Pacific time zone, so when the streaming service activates a new show or movie at the stroke of midnight, it happens at 3 a.m. Eastern time. That means unless East coast viewers stay up really late, they’re better off waiting until sometime later in the day to watch. Or just save it for the weekend.

The 'Big Mouth' kids are back for Season 3.

Even if fans have to hold off until a bit later, Big Mouth Season 3 is more than worth the wait, focusing a bit less on a longer story arc and more on intriguing commentary about different social issues that real teenagers have to deal with. Season 3 addresses Adderall abuse, dick pics, cell phone addiction, the spectrum of sexuality, and toxic masculinity. There are also new monsters, a hilariously mean love letter to Florida, a musical episode, and even a few superpowers that somehow come into the mix. Plus, a bonafide Queer Eye crossover that’s as great as you might imagine.

Big Mouth still follows a group of tweens based on Kroll and Goldberg’s childhood in Westchester County, New York. The tall, bumbling, and totally horny Andrew (John Mulaney) is the focus of the story alongside the short, stunted, but totally suave Nick (Nick Kroll). But Season 3 more than ever before focuses on the varied cast of other characters, like the bright and passionate Jessi (Jessi Klein), the witty and hilarious Matthew (Andrew Rannells), the unimaginably horny Jay (Jason Mantzoukas), the brilliant and charming Missy (Jenny Slate) and many more.

Be sure to watch the Valentine’s Day special that was released in February before continuing on with the rest of Season 3, and get ready for a wild ride.

Big Mouth Season 3 will go live on Netflix at 3 a.m. Eastern on Friday, October 4, 2019.
