'Stranger Things 2' Gets Its Final Trailer on Friday the 13th

Netflix

The Demogorgon itself might be freaked out by the upcoming final trailer for Stranger Things Season 2. And who could blame it? The last trailer for Season 2 will drop on Friday the 13th of October.

Marketing for Stranger Things Season 2 has taken its ‘80s culture references to a whole new level; posters have referenced classic horror movies, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was instrumental in creating the fun, spooky feel of the season’s first official full-length trailer, and a Season 2 bully, Dacre Montgomery’s Billy, is based on ‘80s icon Jack Nicholson.

The trailer teaser Netflix tweeted out via the Stranger Things Twitter account shows flashes of new footage (supposedly from Season 2) and counts up from one to 13, emphasizing 11 along the way. In the short clips, Will Byers visits the doctor, people in freaky Halloween-esque masks look ready to throw down, the gang goes adventuring, Hopper undergoes some rough treatment, Eleven runs through the woods, Billy screams, doors unlock themselves, and more.

It’s a lot, and the new trailer for Season 2 is sure to include that much more, especially since it’s Friday the 13th.

Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netflix on October 27.
