As a former volunteer firefighter, I can personally attest to how stressful the job can be.
PTSD, depression, burnout, and anxiety are rampant, and it’s not talked about enough. First responders are supposed to be the tough ones, able to handle anything thrown their way.
But sometimes they need help, too.
