Watch: The Ford F-150 Lightning tackles its biggest challenge yet

The electric pickup will soon start production, but Ford wants it tested under all possible conditions first.

Though it looks like fun and games, the cold weather testing is important for a few reasons.

Most folks aren’t going to take their F-150 Lightning out at 30 below, but it’s nice to know you can.

The temperature is only half the story, though: making sure the Lightning’s front and rear motors work together properly on slippery surfaces requires a lot of testing and calibration.
