Where to Get Every Game of Thrones Season on Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray

Winter, uh, we mean the final season of this show is coming.

Where were you when Game Of Thrones first premiered on HBO in the summer of 2011? I was interning at a comedy website in New York, so naturally I was surrounded by the biggest nerds you have ever seen in your life, so naturally we all got together to watch the show together on Sunday nights. Wild to think that in the eight years prior, Ned Stark is long dead, Arya is now the most feared assassin in Westeros, and Varys… well, he’s still a real dick.

Game of Thrones is one of the great shows of the decade, but I’ll be the vast majority of you watch (or rewatch) on your parents’ HBOGO accounts, which is no way to live. There are innumerable ways to watch Game of Thrones with better sound, better resolution, and while it might cost you, there’s nothing like being a completist going into the final season. Here’s how to catch up, whatever device you’re rocking.

Amazon
$149

The most popular, and most obvious answer here, is the Game Of Thrones Seasons 1-7 Blu-ray boxset, which not only offers full HD versions of every episode, but digital copies, too, so you’re never locked out of returning to Westeros. That’ll set you back $149.99, down 12% from a recommended retail price of $170.45. Not bad for seven seasons of a very expensive premium cable show!

If, like me, you’re a 4K purist, you’ll have to wait a while. Looks like HBO is staggering the release of Ultra-HD versions of its opus, but you can get Season 1 in glorious 4K right here, right now. We’ll let you know as soon as there are more seasons.

Game of Thrones’s eighth and final season will air on April 14, 2019. So, not that long to catch up now.
