Light spoilers for The Punisher Season 2 below.

A deleted tweet from one of Netflix’s official accounts listed the Punisher Season 2 release date as January 18 on New Year’s Day. Now, only two days later, the streaming service confirmed the news, revealing when fans will see find out next for Frank Castle and Billy Russo while also meeting new characters including the Season 2 villain John Pilgrim and Amy.

In the aftermath of Frank and Billy’s fight in the Season 1 finale, Billy is on his way to becoming Jigsaw, as he’s known in the comics, cut face and all. The new trailer definitely teases that future for him. His face is scarred, but he’s also mentally in pieces.

The video ends with the series’ logo, followed by letters forming “SAW,” hinting at one of the villains to come this season, and the premiere date: January 18.
