Lamar Jackson is pretty much the only reason to watch this game.

The Baltimore Ravens avenged their earlier defeat to Cincinnati by knocking off the Bengals in a pivotal game last weekend, cutting short a three-game losing streak. With the win, the Ravens scratched their way back to 5- and now perch in second place in the AFC North, although the division title may be out of reach, as the Steelers hold a two-and-a-half-game lead with six games remaining.

More importantly, however, Baltimore may have finally found a quarterback who can breathe fresh life into the offense in Jackson. The rookie quarterback and former Heisman trophy winner out of the University of Louisville carved up the Bengals’ defense like a brined Thanksgiving turkey, racking up 117 yards on 27 rushes and adding a new element to the Ravens’ offense.

At times, the dual-threat Jackson showed flashes that we haven’t seen since the days of Michael Vick, even if he suffered from stomach pains prior to last week’s start. Call him Steamin’ Willie Beamen. After the game, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis made ominous remarks about Jackson’s ability to continue rushing (and taking the accompanying hits). Here’s hoping coach John Harbaugh and the offensive staff can find a way to maximize Jackson’s talents while keeping him off the IR.

Meanwhile, the Raiders have sunken to the bottom of the AFC West with a 2-8 record, good for a three-way tie with the Cardinals and 49ers for the ignominious mantle of the worst (and saddest) team in football. The Raiders can’t even tank correctly. There’s not much else to say about the Silver and Black at the moment. Ravens 27, Raiders 13 is my prediction, but how do a hive-mind of NFL experts see this one turning out?

To predict the result of this Week 12 match-up, Unanimous A.I. used what’s known as swarm intelligence. Some 27 NFL enthusiasts worked together as a hive mind to make their prediction. As you can see in the animation below, each participant controlled a golden magnet and used it to drag the puck toward the result they thought was the most likely outcome. This is where it gets interesting: As a user sees the puck move toward a particular decision, it triggers a psychological response. They might readjust their thinking as the group builds toward a consensus. It’s an artificial intelligence, produced by human brains, working together as a swarm.

As you can see in the animation above, the hive-mind of NFL experts has high confidence that t

The Raiders play at the Ravens at 1 p.m. Eastern Sunday on CBS.

Here’s how Unanimous A.I. has predicted previous NFL games this season.

Unanimous A.I. has made some scarily accurate predictions in the past using swarm intelligence, as our this article explains. For instance, the swarm picked this year’s Oscar winners with 94 percent accuracy. Here’s Unanimous A.I. founder Louis Rosenberg explaining swarm intelligence at a recent TEDx Talk:
