'Rick and Morty' Actor Records Surprise Song for Kanye West's Birthday

Rick is getting close and personal with Kanye.

It’s no secret that Kanye West is a big Rick and Morty fan. When the show was renewed for 70 episodes, he took to Twitter to express his excitement over the news. For his birthday, his wife, Kim Kardashian West, got him something any Rick and Morty fan would love.

On Friday, Kardashian West tweeted a video featuring the special birthday song done by Rick, Morty, and the Seattle indie pop duo Chaos Chaos. Voiced by show co-creator Justin Roiland, the song is less of the traditional happy birthday style. It’s a definite listen for any Rick and Morty fan because it’s so hilarious that Roiland breaks character more than once.

In the song, Rick sings about him crawling through Kanye’s bedroom window and getting under the sheets to cuddle with him. Rick then proceeds to make some groans and gives Kanye a kiss on the forehead while Morty looks on, worried they’re going to be caught. The song ends with Morty noticing a bucket of bones in the corner and Rick giving a birthday kiss to Kanye right before he tells Morty to grab something as it cuts off.

Kanye held a listening party for his new album with Kid Cudi called Kids See Ghosts Thursday, hours before he turned 41 on June 8. Roiland was seen at the party in an Instagram photo taken by 13 Reasons Why star Ross Butler. They were joined by Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson and pop star Ariana Grande.

The Rick and Morty crew are working on the next wave of episodes for the show. When Season 4 will premiere is still unknown, but at least fans know that it’s happening instead of dealing with months of uncertainty.

Show co-creator Dan Harmon explained the delay for the show’s renewal in an interview. Both Harmon and Roiland wanted to have the show go on forever, literally.
