Marvel brought the Avengers together in 2012 to save New York for the franchise’s first major crossover spectacle. When the team returned to fight Ultron, it added more heroes to the mix, but did not add much to the franchise. So, now, the positive reactions to Avengers: Infinity War are music to everyone’s ears. On Tuesday, those who saw Infinity War early started sharing their feelings on social media. Here’s what the internet thinks of Infinity War right now.

A lot of folks are comparing Infinity War to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, which could mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Overall, everyone is a little shocked about what happens in the movie.

From the sounds of the reactions, the film not only brings together characters from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s the game-changing mega crossover fans are anticipating. Coming off the incredible success of Black Panther, it seems Marvel is upping the ante and delivering as it brings dozens of the franchise’s heroes together to defeat Thanos.

While others did not make the connection to the Star Wars film, they spoke very highly of crossover film, which will see characters from Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther folded into the Avengers fold.
