Stock Up On All Things Racist in the Trump Tower Gift Shop

A few new items in the Trump Tower gift shop cater to a very specific audience.

If you’re in the market for rubber sheets or a new Klan hood, then the Trump Tower gift shop in New York might just have you covered. And the best part is, none of the proceeds even go to President Trump!

A handful of items mocking Donald Trump and his supporters made their way into the Trump Tower gift shop Monday, including a Russian flag, some unflattering postcards featuring Ivanka, art comparing Trump’s neck flab to a turkey’s wattle, and a remote control with packaging bearing a false quote from Donald J. Trump: “I use this remote 10 hours a day!”

According to a report by Gothamist, two NYC-based artists are responsible for the gag items making their way into Trump’s building.

“We thought the tourists coming in to buy some stuff, especially people from other countries, should get the whole story of who the president is, because the items in the Trump store don’t accurately reflect the person,” one of the two artists, who told Gothamist they would prefer to remain anonymous, said.

Some of the items inserted into the gift shop are also available for sale online at Trump White Wear. Prospective customers can pick up a remote control or a “white hood” for $25 each, or a postcard featuring Ivanka or Vladmir Putin (hailed as the 45th president) for $3 a piece.

Uh, how do you say "deals" in Russian?!

It apparently took the store’s staff until Tuesday to notice the fraudulent items, when a reporter attempted to buy a postcard and was told to leave the premises by security.

But unfortunately, not every overtly absurd item for sale in the gift shop is there as a joke. A POLITICO reporter snapped a picture of this t-shirt in the store that was apparently for sale.

A rallying cry for the Trump supporter: “Shut the fake up media.” Shut the fake up, indeed.
