Genshin Impact is set to end the year with a bang. HoYoverse’s hit gacha RPG just wrapped up a major arc in its latest update with the end of the Sumeru storyline. Now, with Genshin Impact 3.3 on the horizon, players are wondering how Scaramouche and the other Sumeru characters will continue the story and blend into the meta. Nahida, the Dendro Archon, further legitimized Dendro teams and continues to make more team comps viable than players expected when the element first came out. Scaramouche and the other new character, Faruzan, will be Anemo. So what’s the next trend?

Here’s what we know so far about Genshin Impact 3.3.

When is the Genshin Impact version 3.3 release date?

Genshin Impact 3.3 will launch on December 7, 2022. HoYoverse gave this estimate earlier in the year before Genshin Impact 3.0. It’s unclear how long the updates will run after the 3.3 update and if HoYoverse will follow a different schedule in 2023.

What are the Genshin Impact version 3.3 character banners?

Scaramouche and Arataki Numero Uno Itto are coming in Genshin Impact 3.3.

HoYoverse

Genshin Impact 3.3 features these banners in its two halves:

  • Part 1: The Wanderer (5-star), Arataki Itto (5-star), Faruzan (4-star)
  • Part 2: Raiden Shogun (5-star), Kamisato Ayato (5-star)

It introduces two new playable characters, one of which is the infamous Scaramouche. The Balladeer, now known as The Wanderer, has been a fan-favorite NPC since his appearance in the Reconciled Stars event back in Genshin Impact’s infancy. He was announced as a playable character for Genshin Impact 3.3 following the peak of his villain arc in the latest update. He will run alongside Geo 5-star Arataki Itto in the latter’s second rerun.

An earlier theory suggested that The Wanderer would run with his creator, Raiden Shogun, who last reran in March. She will actually be running in the second half of the update with Yashiro Commissioner and head of the Kamisato Clan, Kamisato Ayato. The new Anemo archer Faruzan will also debut in the first half of the 3.3 update as one of the three 4-stars accompanying The Wanderer on his banner. The other two 4-stars have yet to leak.

What are the new artifacts coming in Genshin Impact version 3.3?

Two new artifact sets are coming in Genshin Impact 3.3: Desert Pavilion Chronicle and Flower of Paradise Lost.

HoYoverse

Two new artifact sets are coming in Genshin Impact 3.3. Desert Pavilion Chronicle focuses on Anemo charged attacks, which could be designed with The Wanderer and Faruzan in mind. Flower of Paradise Lost focuses on Elemental Mastery-fueled Dendro reactions.

Desert Pavilion Chronicle

  • 2-piece: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
  • 4-piece: When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15s.

Flower of Paradise Lost

  • 2-piece: Elemental Mastery +80
  • 4-piece: The equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%. Additionally, after the equipping character triggers Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, they will gain another 25% bonus to the effect mentioned prior. Each stack of this lasts 10s. Max 4 stacks simultaneously. This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

What is the Genius Invokation Trading Card Game?

The Genius Invokation TCG is a new permanent mini-game coming to Genshin Impact in the 3.3 update. HoYoverse announced it months ago on the Genshin Impact 3.1 livestream.

It’s emphasized as “PvE to its core,” which means there won’t be a “reward system” for beating your friends and other characters at the game. It might, however, provide some distraction for veteran players complaining about how there’s not enough endgame content.

What else is coming in the Genshin Impact version 3.3?

It seems like Itto will be doing plenty of scaring in the upcoming event.

HoYoverse

Akitsu Kimodameshi, a Yashiro Commission-hosted “test of courage,” stands out as the main event of Genshin Impact 3.3. The trailers and promotional images suggest that Arataki Itto, Shikanoin Heizou, Gorou, and Yoimiya will star in the event. Itto in particular looks like he’s doing some of the scaring. Players can earn a free 4-star sword called Toukabou Shigure for participating in the event.

If that’s not much of a draw, more events like Across the Wilderness, a Windtrace rerun, and a Misty Dungeon rerun will follow after the spooktastic festival.

Across the Wildnerness combines collection gameplay from past timed challenges into a new one. Just recently, Genshin Impact had a mini-game where players collected as many coins as possible within a set time. The event features a similar goal with collecting balloons in a race against time.

Windtrace and Misty Dungeon revise on their past iterations and, again, offer an alternate way to grind for resources before the end of the year — perfect for fueling a new 5-star like The Wanderer.
