'Star Wars 9' leaked tracklist may confirm a shocking Millennium Falcon theory

We’re already expecting a lot of major deaths in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as it wraps up a nine-movie saga, but could one of the franchise’s most iconic ships also meet its end. We’ve previously speculated the Millennium Falcon might not make it out of Episode IX in one piece, and a recent leak has us even more worried than before.

The latest Star Wars spoiler comes from the StarWarsLeaks subreddit, where user jedi_master87 claims to have inside info on the title of one specific track in The Rise of Skywalker.

“There is a TROS musical motif called, ‘The Falcon’s Last Ride,’” they write.

That isn’t exactly a hard confirmation, but if this leaker is correct then we’re pretty confident it means the Millennium Falcon is toast. That should also make you worried for Lando Calrissian, who was last seen cruising at lightspeed in the Falcon during the trailer for The Rise of Skywalker. Then again, if Lando has to go out, what better way than in the ship he loved?

Perhaps even more interesting is the second half of u/jedi_master87’s leak, which claims that an iconic tune from the prequels will return in Episode IX.

“Motifs from previous episodes will be making an appearance including ‘Duel of the Fates,’” they write. “There are only a few more sessions of recording JW’s score in LA.”

You might not remember duel of the fates, but it first appeared during Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s duel with Darth Maul in Episode I and came back a few times throughout the prequel movies, including one pivotal scene featuring Anakin Skywalker.

So if “Duel of the Fates” is coming back, it could mean a few things. Maybe this is confirmation that Anakin/Vader will appear in The Rise of Skywalker after all. Maybe Obi-Wan will show up as a Force ghost. Anything seems possible as we race towards the final entry in the Skywalker saga.

But one thing seems clear. By the end of Episode IX, the Millennium Falcon will be nothing but a pile of rubble.
