'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Trailer Release Coming Sooner Than 'Avengers 4'

Marvel fans are impatient waiting for the trailer for Avengers 4, but a trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, out in theaters on July 5, 2019, may arrive sooner than Thanos can snap again.

On Thursday, Collider reported that Sony will debut the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home on December 8 at Comic-Con Experience in San Paulo, Brazil. “CCXP” is becoming something of a favorite for Sony, as the studio also held a panel for Venom last year at the same convention.

Far From Home is the next film in the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man series, as well as the immediate follow-up to 2019’s Avengers 4.

It will be interesting to see how Marvel/Sony promotes the film, as Spider-Man was killed by Thanos, who used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half the Marvel Universe. Commonly called “the snap” by fans, the latest tie-in book for Infinity War called it a “decimation.”

While there is precious little known about Avengers 4, which hits theaters on May 3, 2019, we know a tad more about Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Set after Avengers 4, we know the film will follow Spider-Man on a big trip to Europe where he eventually crosses paths with the supervillain Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 5, 2019.
