Star Wars May the Fourth: All the Best Celebrations on Star Wars Day

May the Fourth is starting to feel like an official international holiday even if it’s only been around since 2011, but this year on May 4, 2018 Star Wars fans everywhere can celebrate — on a Friday, no less — in tons of exciting ways. Star Wars Day is officially upon us.
The day itself is a pun on the ubiquitous phrase from Star Wars, “May the Force be with you.” Thus, May the Fourth became “Star Wars” day when a bunch of fans organized a fan event at the Toronto Underground Cinema in 2011. But in the last seven years, the unofficial holiday has become all but official as tons of organizations and stores celebrate the Star Wars galaxy in their own ways. Be sure to check local venues for various fun things to do, but here are some options regardless of where you are.
This year, here are some of the best ways you can celebrate Star Wars Day in this galaxy or in the next:

5. Duh, Marathon All of the Star Wars Movies
Counting The Last Jedi and Rogue One, watching the entire Star Wars movie series would take approximately 20 hours and 16 minutes, which means that this is probably the last year you can marathon all the Star Wars movie while maintaining some semblance of your sanity. Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out later this month, which will tack on an additional 2 hours and 15 minutes. If we’re lucky, then Episode IX will round things out to a perfect 24 hours total.

4. Watch New Forces of Destiny Episodes
Star Wars Forces of Destiny offers super-short, simple, and fun animated episodes set across the Star Wars timeline. Seven new episodes release on May the 4th at 1 p.m. Eastern on Disney YouTube. Many of the new ones take place during Star Wars Rebels, but there’s also episodes that happen during the events of Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, and The Last Jedi.
You can get a lot more than a couple droids on Star Wars Day.
3. Shop Some of the Crazy-Good Deals Across the Internet
Virtually every nerd website on the internet that sells merchandise is running some kind of sale on Star Wars goods for May the 4th, and even StarWars.com’s blog created a list. You want toys? Phone cases? Blankets? Phone cases? T-shirts? Little bags for sunglasses? Darth Vader socks? Reusable cups? What about a sunshade for your car? Tote bags? Dog costumes? If you can dream it, there’s probably already purchaseable merchandise out there.

2. Buy or Replay Some Great Star Wars Games
GOG.com has a huge Star Wars Day sale running through the weekend for PC versions of many Star Wars games. Tons of classic Star Wars games are available for up to 66 percent off.
You can get Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel for $3.39 each. Both The Force Unleashed games are also part of the sale for $6.79 each, and they follow Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. And those are just the good games! Star Wars: Episode I Racer is also on there if you feel like torturing yourself. (Steam is running a similar sale with comparable prices.
The PlayStation Store also has some decent deals if you’re on PS4. The selection isn’t as good and the prices a bit higher, but you can get the newer Star Wars: Battlefront II for $35.99 (10 percent extra off if you have PS Plus).
1. If All Else Fails, You Can Just Guzzle Some Blue Milk
