Duffer Brothers Confirm 'Stranger Things' Season 3, Hint Season 4

We finally know when the A.V. Club will be able to get on with their lives.

Not only will Season 2 of Netflix’s hit Stranger Things be bigger and scarier than the first, as any good sequel should be, it also won’t be the show’s final season. Series co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer have officially confirmed Season 3 and hinted at a potential fourth season that will wrap the story up once and for all.

“We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out,” Ross told Vulture in an interview published on Monday.

“I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year,” Matt added, acknowledging that sending the kids to the Upside Down over and over again might get a little draining.

And as for what to expect from the kids by the end of the series?

“They’re going to have to get the fuck out of this town!” Ross said. “It’s ridiculous!”

The Hakwins, Indiana, A.V. Club and their families might be brave, but they’re definitely not dumb. Maybe, one of these days, they’ll finally be able to get on with their lives.

Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netflix on October 27. Seasons 3 and 4 will premiere at some unknown point after that.
